The
Hush came together in summer 2001, formed by Jed Grimes to record
arrangements of North East UK folk songs as part of the archive
set up by The Northumbria Anthology.
When Bob Fox came in to complete the line-up on vocals and a range
of fretted instruments, Jed knew that this was a line-up with
something special: Bob's sublime voice and the blend of jazz,
world and rock elements among the band's musicians provide a new
and exciting slant on folk song and how it is perceived.
